I think we are finally over all the illnesses in our house (fingers crossed) so things are back to normal.  Working out and eating so well, has given me so much energy (I feel like me again, loving that).  So I am trying some new healthy recipes this week, healthy and so tasty that my family doesn’t even notice.  DT even said he loves all the food I’ve been cooking lately!  That’s always a plus.  Healthy food doesn’t have to be dull or boring!

Our chickens have been laying like crazy (I picked 18 eggs today alone).  Good thing we love eggs.  I am trying a new egg recipe this week as well as eating and selling lots of eggs as well.  Anyone need some eggs?

It’s starting to feel like spring around here, so that means summer garden planning for us.  This winter we didn’t have a veggie garden and I sure did miss it.  DT  bought some seeds today and will be working the next few weeks getting the ground worked and planted.
I am still doing the Advocare challenge and my 30 Day Shred challenge, and so far I have lost about 10lbs in 17 days!  I am eating really healthy and clean (as in no excess carbs or sweets).  In fact, I gave up sweets (my biggest vice) for Lent.  I’ve been very strict about counting my calories in Myfitnesspal.com (if your on it, friend me Newlyweds) and doing so makes me so aware of what I am eating and it’s really easy to use.

Today marks the first day of my 30 day shred challenge (I have over 10 people shredding with me, want to join in, leave me a message).  I woke up bright and early to shred, it was work, lots of work.  Tomorrow I will be feeling it for sure, but no pain no gain, right?  Last week I started the AdvoCare 24 day challenge and as of today, day 11, I have lost exactly 8lbs.  While I think AdvoCare has lots to do with the weight loss, I have also been tracking my food and exercise in Myfitnesspal.com This helps keep me accountable for what I am eating and planning my meals. I am not starving myself, just watching portions and being very aware of what I am eating, it’s pretty simple actually and I feel so good in such a short amount of time.  I think advocare, tracking cals, and doing the shred together I am hoping to see some amazing results.
I have picked out some healthy meals to enjoy with my family.  What are you serving this week?
ps: I don’t sell either of those products I just sharing my results having following the programs.

I have begun the Advocare 24 day challenge to jump-start some weight loss and energy boost.  I am on day 5 and I am already feeling a difference.  The first few days of the program are a cleanse, so I am eating really well, no white breads, rice etc, no sugar (this one is killer for me).  But I am sticking with it.  I will cheat a little on V-day and have a red velvet brownie.  I am also tracking my calories and exercise on Myfitnesspal.com.  It’s a really great tool to help keep me on track.
I am trying a few new recipes this week and I can’t wait.  Those quinoa bites are calling my name.
