Ok so I went majorly over this week.  But we needed diapers and .19 cents per diaper isn’t bad.  I could have saved a few bucks and skipped on a few pantry items like the canned soups, tomatoes and no pizzas and snacks.  OH whoa is me!  This is still pretty good compared to my old 80-90 grocery bills weekly.  I will do better next week promise!  Check out my menu plan and what I cooked using these ingredients.

You might wonder what I am going to do with some much hair products, car fresheners, medicines, etc from the great deals I get at Walgreen’s and CVS .  I love doing these deals because we don’t feel like we are doing without and we still get the occasionally treats, like this week free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.

With the items we don’t consume ourselves we will sell in a garage sale.  I think of it like this, I take the time and effort to use coupons and get great deals on everyday products, I can return the favor by selling them at my garage sale for an extremely reduced price $1-$2 for most items.  I have a big stock pile already and my extended family buys from me every time they come over so it works out good for them also.

My weekly planning will most likely have to go on a halt or a big change for the time being, since we are moving in with my parents, due to the mold and our house getting repaired.

  1. Wow. I spent $169 this week. And I thought I did pretty good. lol. I would do a lot better if I didn’t have to spend $18 a week on DOG food. And then there’s those weeks when I have to get major stuff that we run out of, like laundry soap or ‘that time of the month’ stuff (3 of us participate in this now, lol…that’s a lot of $$!)

Great idea about the garage sales!

  2. Where did you print the Ben & Jerry’s coupon from?? We’re going from 2 to 1 income this month, so we’re trying to cut back, but I love ice cream and store brands/generic just aren’t the same!!
