Not much progress has happened this week, though our vanity and sink were installed along with the mirror and finishing touches on the tile.  Hopefully today as you are reading this, he is back installing the fixtures, doing some finishing repairs on the door frame, installing our new light fixtures, and then we will be ready to have the carpet installed and then move back home!

Here is the vanity sink, though its not what I initially wanted I really like it now, and I love the granite counter top I think it matches perfectly.  The walls have been painted ivoire and in this light you can hardly tell but it has more of an yellowish tone to it.

At first I was concerned the vanity not matching my built in cabinet but my Mom suggested I look at it like a piece of furniture, instead of it matching.  Like my kitchen table doesn’t match my kitchen cabinets and I am and I like it alot!

The tile is almost completed and the window will be covered with blinds

Next week all the fixtures and carpet should be replaced and we should be moving back in, fingers crossed!

  1. VERY VERY nice! Love the sink and tile color choices! Now is that a new tub or an old one that’s covered over? I’m curious because I’m dreaming of my own new bathroom and wondering which way to go.

  2. Moms give great advice, don’t they? Your bathroom is beautiful already! I’ll have to check back to see the finished result…

  3. No one but us nosey bloggers will be in your bathroom anyways, so matching doesn’t matter. 😉

It’s amazing what our men can do, when they want to!

  4. oh my goodness…bathroom remodels are quite the process. hubs and i have been redoing our master for about a year and maybe it will be finished someday…love the counter tops, btw!

  5. So that’s what a clean sink and countertop looks like?? Haha!

Seriously though I love the granite countertop…it looks very classy!! And I love the built-in cabinet….such a great idea to put that right in the bathroom!!

  6. You did a great job taking pictures in a tiny space! It is hard work staying married when any type of remodel is going on … so if there is a shooting or something remember no one will blame you. I would even testify on your behalf if you needed me to do that.

  7. Hi. Got here via Meal Planning Mommies. Your bathroom make-over looks great. Hubby and I are about to start on our bathroom and it looks to be the same size as your’s. Your bathroom has given me some great inspiration.

Would you mind telling what outlet you got your supplies?

    BTW, your boys are adorable.
