I posted this post with this picture around the same time last year.

It seems not much has changed, this time of year, and income taxes really seem to put me in a funky mood.

It could be because I fail to post (for those of you who aren’t small business owners, it basically means to type in all of your monthly bills, checks and receipts into Quicken to tally all of your purchases, income, and hopefully lots of deductions) all year long and wait till a month or so before taxes are due to actually start posting. Then I post like a crazy mad woman, and fret and post, and pull my hair out and post, and bite my nails, and post some more.  I guess you get the picture, I don’t like it one bit, hence that’s why I wait till the last minute, and then vow not to ever do it again, ugh……

I really do miss blogging and cooking, and reading all my blogging friends blogs.    I’ll be back, hopefully soon, refreshed and ready to blog!

  1. ‘Tis just a season! The good news? You will be done soon, and the thought of Summer will peek through as a reminder of slow (and hot) summer days!

  2. Talked to my tax lady today, and my taxes are in the mail for approval! She says that this year they are required to efile the taxes. So you efile, mail your payment in seperately. Presto! Chango! The IRS is supposed to match up your payment with your return….

  3. Ah yes, as a small business owner we spend most of December and January lost in a sea of mass amounts of paperwork (between my husband and I we have 4 small businesses – one that is his full time job, so that’s the one with a bazillion forms)

So I feel your pain. I think I go through a funk this time as well, mostly because the time devotion to paperwork and filing, as it really leaves the brain no space to create.
