My dad is a funny guy and he is very opinionated about certain things; like his favorite places to eat, manners, and butt powder.  Yes I said butt powder, you know to cure raw or red hiney’s.  See as the boys were little and still occasionally they get a case of the Wolf (A**) butt (my dad’s words oh and he likes to make up names for everything also).   I  tried everything under the sun to cure said Wolf A, from baby creams, to home-made concoctions, yeast creams, baby powder, nothing nada worked.  My dad kept telling me repeatedly to use Corn Starch, Corn Starch, Corn Starch!  I would blow him off and say no that doesn’t work it just thickens soups and sauces, how could it possibly work.  But he swears by it, saying it works for him instantly.  A little TMI (too much information) but thanks Dad.  So a few months ago on the boys most recent attack I gave it a try, and guess what, yes you guessed correctly.  It cleared it up, kept them dry, and comforted.  I then went back to my dad with my tail between my legs and apologized for not listening to his Wolf A cures something with which he knows lots about.  So now I swear by Cornstarch to clean up any case of butt rash, also known as Wolf A**, monkey butt or Red A**!

So I said all that to say this.

Unbeknownst (is this a word?) to me;

The boys found the Cornstarch yesterday

and had a blast spilling every single bit of it

Luckily for me it cleans up pretty easily with a vacuum and a few wipes.

Soon after the mess was cleaned up, the boys wanted to practice their ballet moves,

Here is Little W stretching, using his crib as the bar

Little H showing off ballet moves,  plie and hold, check out the perfect toe position

as well as 1st position

He doesn’t like when I take pictures of him practicing, he’s a little shy!

No seriously, they were trying to climb back into their cribs

funny thing is they never try to climb out once there in

Hope I didn’t just jinx myself!

*In case your wondering Daddy dressed them, just saying*

  1. Wow. What a mess! You’re not a real mom until you’ve had to clean up flour, baby powder or corn starch. LOL Good tip about corn starch, though.

    Happy WW!

  2. I was JUST wondering about the outfits. Glad you explained. LOL!
Tractor Supply carries a powder called Monkey Butt powder. I wonder if there is cornstarch in it?

  3. Oh how I remember those days, hang in there girl!
    Thanks for hosting!

  4. That’s hillarious – at least is is when you aren’t the one who has to clean it up. Reminds me of when my daughter was about that age and I heard her say from her room, “it’s snowing” (in the summer). She’d found the large container of baby powder on top of her changing table and it was indeed “snowing”.

  5. Thanks for the advice. My little guy went through a few creams also but Dr Smith seems to work the best for him so far. I love the pictures!

  6. How adorable!!

My family bicycles a lot (long distance) and there is even something called Monkey Butt Powder that is supposed to help! 🙂 I laughed when you mentioned the ‘monkey butt’ problem…

  7. I am dreading the day my little guy gets into the pantry. At least, it makes for cute pictures.
