Lately we’ve had unseasonably cold weather for Texas.  I am just not use to it.  So of course all I want to do is cuddle in doors with my Snuggie and cook!  Oh boy and have I been cooking.

So I thought I would gather a collection of some of my favorite warm your belly foods.  These are just a few of my recipes but I hope they give you so inspiration to cook something hot, comforting and tummy pleasing for you and your family this cold winter.  Because really isn’t that what cold weather is for?

Bacon and Broccoli Breakfast Casserole– a warm hearty and satisfying breakfast.

  1. Some of my favorites are obviously Chili (when I was pg with the twinkines in ’02 ~ I ate this weekly. My hubs still doesn’t enjoy it like he used too LOL), Taco soup, Broccoli and Cheese soup, chicken speghetti.

  2. I’ve never been able to do a roast right… to the point that it’s seriously turned me off beef, but I think I’ll try yours. Sound really good. 🙂
Can you suggest a jelly specifically that would go with it, that’s not spicy? I’m cooking for someone who can’t take any heat. Thanks.

  3. All those dishes look fabulous! It’s definitely time for comfort foods!

The one thing that my husband loves this time of year is a huge bowl of chili. It’s actually the one thing I make that’s pretty good!

  4. These all look so good! Cabbage soup is one of our favorites. I make it at least once every couple weeks in the winter. Chili is always good, too.

I will bookmark these recipes – thanks!!
