We finally got away.  After months and months on DT working and working and working, we’ve finally took a small weekend trip to the bay.

I can only tell you how great it felt to set foot out of the car and smell the salty, breezy, air of Carancahua bay.

We had beautiful weather, though hot and humid, the wind kept it from being miserably hot and sweltering.

We spent three nights and 4 days soaking up the sun, swimming, playing, napping, eating, fishing, visiting with neighbors and family.  It was wonderful and mostly relaxing.  The boys were slightly fussy one day (nothing like last year) but the rest of the time had so much fun.

The boys enjoyed fishing by the water.

Searching for seashells with Lalo and cousin Sam.

Finding interesting bugs.

Any clue what that is?

DT got to fish and even caught a few keepers.

We set up plenty of water toys for the boys.

and uncle Neil devised a fun way to slip and slide.

By picking the boys up by the back of their shirts and shorts, and tossing them down the slide.

I don’t think they liked it very much.  What do you think?

My Mom took a little video of the action.

But I think best of all  I got to spend some time on this very chair enjoying jalapeno margarita’s, it was a delight to all my lazy bone senses.

*I promise to get back to get back to my regular blogging now.
