Tomorrow we lay to rest one of the greatest men I have ever known.  He was a pillar in our family, so strong, smart, loving, silly and perfect.  Yes, I said it.  Perfect, he was and still is a perfect man in my opinion.  He lived a long and full life, with a wonderful wife of 60 years, 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grands.  He loved us all fully and without a doubt.

He had the best hugs ever, big bear hugs you could get lost in.  He was loved by everyone he met and never once met a stranger.  I will strive to be more and more like him every single day of my life.

He wasn’t afraid of hard work, or getting down and playing with the kids.  Even at the age of 84 just weeks ago he was chasing the boys playing monsters.

He was diagnosed with colon cancer recently after a routine colonoscopy, and had surgery just 10 days ago, his surgery went well and he was recovering well, then he started getting some fever and pain and they decided to move him back to the ICU and as they were just getting him in the room his heart stopped.  I guess it was just his time.  Though we all feel he had so many great years ahead of him.

I have written about him many times on my blog and he is such a huge part of our lives.

Here are a few pictures of story of my wonderful Pop-po.

He will be greatly missed.  We love you Pop-po!
