The garden is really coming along beautifully.  We have had some wonderfully cooler weather in the 40-60’s and the garden is handling it very well.

The transplant butternut squash didn’t do quite as well but a few plants are thriving and even some new sprouts are popping up, so that’s neat.  The shallots we planted last week have sprouted amazingly high about 4 inches in one week, too cool.  I can even use the sprouts like green onions, or green shallots for cooking.  The mustard spinach is nearing becoming ready to eat in fact I am sure we could pull some and make them for dinner tonight, but I am not cooking, ha!
