So my 3 year blogiversary came and went.  How could I forget.  Now before I get all mushy, let me explain a bit.  This year has been different than my two previous years.  Obviously, no year is the same, but hear me out.  As I was going through each month and highlighting a few of my favorite posts, it hit me. The past 6 months have been rough.  Very rough for us and it shows on my blog, because for a few months I only posted maybe 3 posts per month, and none were too happy.  It’s like I had forgotten, than BAM, in my face.  I hate when that happens.

So please forgive me if I skip a month in my recap below.

I am excited for my 3 year milestone.  I have learned and grown and hopefully impacted some of you as much as others have impacted me.  You all have helped me heal through my losses by sharing your stories, filled my belly with your fabulous recipes and tips, and given me encouragement to keep on blogging.  For all of this, thank you.

Last year on my 2 year blogiversary I shared some little blogging tidbits and I think I will do the same again, because my 3rd year is again much different than my 2nd and 1st.

  • I’ve written 181 blog posts this year, as opposed to 303 last year, and a whopping 510 the year before!

Now a review of some of my favorite posts each month.  Just click on the pictures if you want to go to the original posts.

August 2010

I kicked off my hatching eggs sales, wrote about the benefits of home raised eggs, and went tractor riding.

September 2010

We went to gator park, the boys got big boy beds, and I documented the laying of an egg.

October 2010

I went crazy about pumpkins, Prairie Days Festival and Halloween.

November 2010

The boys turned 3, was hopeful for a broody hen, and enjoyed cooking for thanksgiving.

December 2010

We decorated for Christmas, celebrated Christmas, and Mom did her first (and possibly her only post), Spatchcocked Turkey.

January 2011

After toy explosion from Christmas we had to do some organizing, Chloe and Cricket at it again, and I invented a new form of child distraction.

February 2011

The boys did a little horse painting, tractor riding, and spring was in the air.

April 2011

My very first broody hen and Easter.

May 2011

The heat began and we cooled off visting Gator Park, playing on the slip-n-slide and being Ree-diculous.

June 2011

Annual bay weekend  and I created a 30 things before 30 list.

July 2011

The Paci Fairy came and we lost our sweet girl.

As the new blogging year continues, I know we will have many more happy times and I can’t wait to share it all with you.
