This week DT will be home the majority of it so I am planning foods that he loves and also uses some of our garden veggies that we has massive massive amounts of.  I also am saddened to say that my hatching eggs yet again didn’t go so well out of 36 eggs only 6 hatched (one died just this morning).  With that in mind I don’t think I will ever be incubating eggs again, its just to heart breaking and stressful.  But I do have 5 beautiful perfectly healthy fuzzy butts.  I will post more about them later. Hope you have a great week planned with lots of yummy foods.

Last week we enjoyed:

Spaghetti with Summer Squash and Tomatoes

Goulash (using veggies from the garden)

Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

This week we have planned:

Breakfasts:

Scrambled egg taquitos

Dinners:

Chicken Fried Steak with squash

Crawfish Boil (Recipe to come)

Chicken Fajitas with all the fixings

Easy Homemade Pizza, using peppers and squash from the garden

Desserts,  Snacks and Drinks:

  1. mmm…my hubby would love chicken fried steak! I’ll have to keep your recipe in mind next time he’s craving a good southern meal. 🙂

  2. Yum! My husband loves Chicken Fried Steak too. I found some on sale at the little grocery store today for $1.29/lb but I decided against it. He loves hamburgers too and they had ground sirloin for the same price 🙂

Sorry to hear about your chickies, I was hoping to hear they all hatched, but at least you have 5 new babies! That’s exciting in itself. 🙂

  3. Can’t wait to see the recipe for the chocolate butter cake! I’ve make butter cake, but not chocolate butter cake! Mmmmm!

  4. Wow! I thought we had a good dinner tonight. I love food, period. And although your hatchings weren’t a success, you guys made it up with the dishes. Great job!
