I am a little late getting their 8 months post up, so they turned 8 months old on the 14th and today is the 22nd, ahem. I’ve been busy? Out of town? Forgot? Lots of excuses, but I did take these photos 1 day after they turned 8 months, so they are accurate, I just haven’t had a chance to post, until now.
They are eating two meals a day, nurse 5 times, and have 1 bottle a day. They are getting really good at picking up little finger foods. Some favorites are bananas, avocados, mangos, peas, potatoes, and they even had refried beans at a mexican restaurant. The littles are so busy, this past month they have really blossomed in their moving around skills, nothing is safe in the house anymore, and I have found a baby in every room of the house now, ugh…..
Mostly it’s C and yet he doesn’t crawl, traditionally. He is a army crawling master, that kid is fast. He will be all the way across the room in mere seconds. Multiple times a day I ask, where is C? And sure enough he will be under the kitchen table, or in the laundry room, or in the bathroom, a few of his favorite places. He will rock back and forth on his knees, but no official crawling yet.
He also loves to grab and play with his feet, they are usually covered since it’s been cold, but when they are free his hands are on them or trying to shove them in his mouth.
He loves to giggle, especially at his big brothers, who make silly faces or weird noises to get him giggling. He also loves to snuggle and will just lay his head on your shoulder just because. I am his favorite person in the world right now and I am totally loving that gig. If he fusses only mommy can make it better, it melts my heart. He is also a fabulous eater, but still spits up quite a bit, especially after his daily bottle. He loves to nurse and loves eating his baby foods.
My G man, mr. serious in the pictures lately. He is my crawler and pulling up on everything guy. He does crawl officially but he generally doesn’t leave the room, he loves going vertical. Up on everything, but just to his knees (though I have seen him pull up to his feet a few times). Toys, chairs, couch, crib. Because of this he has gotten his first of many bruises on his head. He also loves to rock back on his knees and just hang out, for long periods of time, it cracks me up. He also got his first tooth a few days ago, his bottom left front tooth and the right one isn’t far behind, I can see it.
He is such a silly guy and a babbler, loudly and lots. It’s quite comical. He has a favorite blanket that he likes to sleep with and he also take a piece of it and sucks it. So funny and sweet.
I had fun taking these pictures of the babies, but they wouldn’t look at me for anything, too much to look at outside. We set them in the grass, and C loved it and tried to eat some.
G didn’t like it so much, especially on his sweet knees.
While we were taking pictures, my brother and niece and big boys joined in for a quick photo.
My brother also built me this really awesome photo prop, soon to be used as a Kissing booth. So we took a couple quick practice photos.

Feels good to blog again, hopefully I will get back into the routine of it really soon.
