What’s the saying bacon makes everything better?  Well, brown sugar on bacon makes bacon even better.  Wow, this recipe was so incredibly good and simple.  The men in my life are somewhat bacon connoisseurs,  I love bacon, too, but it doesn’t love my thighs so much, so I try to stay away from it on the most part.

Except for when you rub sugar on thick cut bacon.  Wow-sers is it good.  I couldn’t stay away.  My brother introduced this gem of a recipe to me.  He said it was really good and sweet and perfection on bacon.  Boy was he right!

Let me show you how.

Ingredients: 1/2 cup brown sugar; 1 tablespoon brown or spicy mustard; 1/4 pound thick sliced bacon; dash of cayenne pepper

In a large plastic baggie, add the brown sugar, mustard,

and a dash of cayenne pepper.

Mix it together well.

Line a large baking sheet with foil and a rack.

Rub the sugar mixture on both sides of the bacon very well.

Bake at 400°.

flip halfway through the cooking.

bake until bacon is very crisp, about 20-30 minutes.  Let it cool on the rack and the bacon will be crisp.

Slice into pieces if you desire.

Serve with eggs, and jelly slathered biscuits.

Enjoy, the delicious sweet, spicy bacon.
