Today is my babies’ actual 4th birthday.  4 years ago I was doing this.

But, last weekend we had a fun party at our local Museum.   We decided to do a Despicable Me themed party since the boys love the movie so very much.  I also found this website that has the absolute best tutorials on throwing a despicable me party, even with printables.

The food table, complete with dog bowls full of “food”, caterpillars, and coconutties, with a little minion decorating the table and chocolate pretzel rods or minion fingers as the boys call them.

My good friend Kim made this super cute minion pinata!

My Aunt Sue-Sue made the adorable minion cupcakes.

I love the different expressions, hair styles, and eyes they each have.

The birthday boys with Aunt Sue-Sue.

The museum was decorated for Christmas already, but that’s ok, the kids got the play in the children’s area first.

Then Ms. Cheri took them on a tour of the museum.

Then they each made a craft door hanger.

Then it was pizza time and snack time.

And Pinata Time!

Little W turn.

and Little H.

And cousin Sam had to finish off the very well built minion.

DT gave her  a run for her money, and she finally broke the minion and candy went flying.

And the kids scrambled and filled their bags.

Then it was back inside to sing happy birthday.

and blow out candles.

and then, the much anticipated opening presents time.

We all had a great time, I was exhausted by the end of it all, and the boys are still enjoying playing with each of their new toys and games.  Thank you to everyone who shared the day with us!

  2. Hello,
    Awesome party!
Could you please let me know where did you buy the dogs bowls? I am having a hard time finding them
    Thanks

  3. We found edible eyes and just pipped icing for the faces, and used sprinkles for the hair.
