The garden has sprouted and growing, only one week from when it was planted! I love to see how fast everything grows it just amazing and so much fun.  If you’ve never tried to grow any veggies you should so try, its not that hard and so rewarding.

My favorite part is actually cooking them, well duh, ha ha.  Anyways I love trying new recipes and canning or learning to can.  This year with our summer garden we had a abundance of Jalapeno peppers and bell peppers, well there is only so many you can eat.  So I made Jalapeno Jelly– it is so excellent over cream cheese or on a roast in the crock pot.  I also made  Jalapeno Poppers they are so easy to make and delicious, you just cut the pepper down the middle remove the seeds, mix together cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese stuff a little into each half and either bake or grill for about 10-15 minutes, they are also excellent with bacon wrapped around them.  The grilling takes the hotness of the pepper away but leaves the jalapeno flavor its soo good with the cream cheese, did I mention I love cream cheese and DT doesn’t like it,  But guess what he will eat these!

I am still in search of a tried true Sauerkraut recipe!!!  Has anyone made it before?????

Gardening tip-DT usually waters every other day depending on if  we’ve had rain.

  3. I’ve always been afraid of gardening b/c I don’t know anything about it. I was looking at your pics with total envy…I love all kinds of squash, esp winter squash, so I’d be in heaven with an abundant supply of squash in my own backyard!!!

I share your love of cream cheese and my hubby hates it too. Thank god my kids love it!
