Lets meet the couple.  But first a little about Sonya’s 2 blogs.  She has a fun blog My 365 in which she takes one picture each day (for a whole year) with a small caption and blogs about it.  Fun stuff,  here are a few of my faves; So cute, so romantic and so good.  But she mainly blogs at A Day in the Life as a k-2 teacher she has some exciting stories and fun projects for her children, they sure are lucky to have such a great teacher.  She also participates in project life, and loves to read.  Now lets learn more about this sweet couple.

How did you meet? We were introduced by a gal that my husband currently works with and I currently teach in the position she used to have at a different school. She didn’t know either of us that well, but she knew a good match when she saw it apparently! Our first date was on a Friday the 13th! We kept this “tradition” for our engagement and our wedding day!

When did you know he was the one? I think we both knew early on. I knew for sure he was the one after meeting his family, his ENTIRE family, after only a couple months of dating. After being with Kevin in that environment I knew for sure that we would get married. Plus he was willing to watch my baseball team, the Cardinals, play and win the World Series even though he’s a Cubs fan!

What is one of your favorite things to do together? We enjoy going to baseball games together, even though our teams are rivals. The first summer we dated we went to 15 baseball games! I love traveling and going different places together, even if it’s just for the weekend.

What is something new you learned about your husband after you were married? He doesn’t care if things aren’t neat and tidy. Of course, I’m the opposite. I like things neat, tidy, and organized. I guess it’s a good thing that for the most part I like to clean and organize!

What do you do to stay connected during everyday stresses of life? During the week we don’t have much time to spend together because of the school work that he has to bring home, so we try to go out every Friday night for dinner and then go grocery shopping. Not the most exciting evening, but we have to eat and get groceries some time!

What is your best piece of marriage advice? Have fun together! We have many conversations that are of no importance, but we sure do get a good laugh out of them!

What is your favorite quirk about your husband? He does a mean “jazz hands”J Also he can watch a movie once and is able to quote many lines from it as soon as it ends!

What is something special you do just for your husband? I don’t know if this is special, but I take care of dinner almost every night. He is usually at school later than I am so I either cook (or order out) so when he comes home dinner is ready. He cooks too, but he’s so busy during the school year and I have more time to take care of it.

Tell us something about yourself. Like my husband, I also teach. Luckily I have a position that requires no work at home. I would stay in school forever if I could. I have my masters in reading and just finished an endorsement to be a media specialist. I love reading, scrapbooking, and blogging.
