Meet Brandon and Jennifer, a super sweet blogging couple.  Yes they both have blogs.  I just love that.  I dream of the day DT will be more interested in blogging or hell even write one measly blog post (or comment for that fact).  Any who, Brandon blogs at I’d Rather Be Fishing.  He write about a little about fishing, getting a tattoo (y-ouch).  Jennifer blogs at This is Who I Am.  Jennifer blogs about a little scare, book reviews, some of her favorite recipes, and even her addiction.  Please be sure to check both her and Brandon’s blogs out.

How did you meet?

We both attended Crowley’s Ridge College in Northeast Arkansas.  (It is a private, two year, Christian College).  The College is very small…it really reminds me of Church Camp, only with classes.  Because of the size, everyone knows everybody.  I had a couple of classes with Brandon, but every day, we were in Choir together.  We got to go on lots of trips and really became good friends.  Well, one day in History class, he passed me a note and asked if I would like to have dinner with him that weekend?  I accepted, and we have been together ever since!

When did you know he was the one?

We dated for awhile, but made it a point not to say “I love you” until we meant it.  One day, I had a missed call from Brandon, and when I checked my voicemail, at the end of the message, he said “I love you….wait…I didn’t mean to say that”….then there was a pause, and he said, “well, I guess I did mean it.  I love you.”  I knew then if he said it without having to think about whether to say it or not, he meant it.  He stole my heart!

What is one of your favorite things to do together?

SO many things!  I don’t know if I can just name one!  We love to go to college football games together…especially Arkansas Games! (Brandon’s dad is an SEC Official, so we get the opportunity often!) We also love to just be lazy and watch movies…but most of all, just being together.

What is something new you learned about your husband after you were married?

That boy can cook!  I always knew he wanted to go to culinary school, but he is truly talented!  (Too bad he doesn’t enjoy the “clean-up” too!)

What do you do to stay connected during everyday stresses of life?

We both work at the same place (a private college), so we IM each other throughout the day…and we get to go to lunch together every day too.

What is your best piece of marriage advice?

Never go to bed angry.  It makes for a horrible morning.  Also leave enough hot water for his shower in the morning.

What is your favorite quirk about your husband?

His sense of humor.  He always makes me laugh!  One of the reasons I fell in love with him!

What is something special you do just for your husband?

I make sure that I tell him I love him and how much he means to me every day.  I also surprise him with his favorite ice cream from time to time!

Tell us something about yourself.

I live down in Central Arkansas with my husband Brandon, and our Cocker Spaniel, Freckles.  I work at Harding University as an Administrative Assistant.  I love to cook, watch movies, and be with my family.  I have a nephew (Blake) who is almost 3, and a niece (Sophia) who will be 2 in a few months.

If you are interested in being a Meet the Newlyweds featured couple, please leave a comment and/or send me a message and I will get in touch with you.
