Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the Superbowl, admittedly I didn’t even watch, who won??

Anyways, Valentines day is this weekend (Sunday in case it slipped your mind) and in our household its a big deal!!!  Well not really but we do love getting each-other something sweet or DT loves when I bake a strawberry cake or even red velvet cupcakes for him.  But since were sugar and gluten free right now we are trying to get a hold of ourselves.  Not that we haven’t cheated since Jan 1st but we’ve been pretty good considering.  I did break down and make some mini cherry cakes this weekend, and promise I only ate about 3 or 4 out of 50+. That’s  amazing for me seriously!  So far no big plans of our V-day, just a dinner at home, maybe if were lucky we could sneak out for a movie. (Mom, hint hint 🙂  Hope you have a great week.

Last week we had:

  1. You didn’t watch the Superbowl! I love the commercials. I made the Buffalo Chicken Dip and Corn Dip from your Superbowl foods. Everyone loved both! When I made the Buffalo Chicken Dip I only used 18 oz. of ranch dip and 6 oz. of hot sauce and it had enough kick to it. Uncle B thinks I need to add shrimp to the corn dip, but AB likes it just the way it is. Like I said, they were both winners! By the way, the Saints won!

  2. I’m excited to hear about the mini cherry cakes — my hubby loves cherries.

We don’t do too much for V-day — my birthday is 5 days from V-day, so we’ve always celebrated that more than Valentine’s Day…. but, going out for a movie would be fun 😉

  3. @SueSue, Great I am glad you guys love the Buffalo chicken dip and the corn dip, I just love that one.

Oh and I was slightly kidding about who won, I did watch a little of it.

  4. We went to a Superbowl party but I didn’t see much of the game since I was busy entertaining my kids while my husband watched the game with his brother, brother’s wife and his parents. Nice, huh?

The sweet potato fries look really good! How do you cut them so they look like actual fries? Everytime I do it, they come out to thick! Do you have a secret to getting them so thin?
