Well its been a busy weekend between DT’s parents car accident and Easter.  DT’s parents are both home now (or not home but staying with DT oldest brother).  His mom did have a small fracture in her neck and has to wear a rather large neck brace for at least a month,  she is very sore  and has limited mobility and strict doctor orders of limited activities.  His dad has 3-4 cracked ribs and a cut on his arm that required stitches, he also is very sore.  So for a few weeks they will be staying with DT’s brother and SIL.  DT will be feeding their animals at their house, (over and hour away) if you recall they have goats, chickens, dogs, cats and geese. So this isn’t a minor task.  Thank you for all your prayers we are so happy they are doing well.  Please keep them in your prayers for a quick recovery.

Despite the car accident, we were still able to attend count it 5 Easter egg hunts, lol!  I know slightly ridiculous for 16 month old little boys, but what the hey!  DT is stocked up on candy and marshmallows for months now!

I even slaved in the kitchen over rice krispies, lol- these were originally made for the daycare Easter party but some no-named (ahem DT) person ate most of them so I had to quickly make less cute just plain squares to send.  But I doubt the kids knew what they missed.

Since it was the Easter Holiday I had off thursday and friday and DT had off as well so we enjoyed lots of time with the boys.  And they enjoyed lots of outside fun boy stuff!

Like riding the wagon behind the John Deere (insert “You Might Be A Redneck” joke here)  but the boys absolutley loved it!

And Daddy couldn’t wait to break out the baby pool, it was a mere 80 degrees (you know not that warm here in Texas)

Look at all that hair! (ok maybe its wishful thinking!)  But don’t you just want to squeeze those serious little cheeks!

Though it was an eventful weekend, we did have a good time and mostly we are so happy that DT’s parents are on their way to recovery.

I love the pictures. My little on just got that wagon and he Grandpa has a tractor. We may have to try this. Have a great day.

  5. I’m really sorry to hear about your in-laws. I hope they feel better soon. But I’m relieved they are doing well and that you managed to have such a beautiful Easter weekend despite it all. The photos are fabulous as usual. Thanks for sharing them.

  6. I’m glad to hear your IL’s will be okay….but how scary was that?! Hope they recover quickly!

The pic of your hubby pulling the boys in their wagon is downright cute…and hilarious! The boys look like they’re loving life!

Okay, so tell me where you got that awesome pool??? We have a little blow-up pool too but it’s so lame. I need something with high sides, like yours has…esp if it needs to survive a beating from my 4 kids.

  7. I love all these photos!!! What a fun Easter! I’m jealous of your days off. I got ZERO! The husband was off on Friday so he did get some things accomplished around the house. That was nice.

Love the John Deere babies!! Precious!

  8. Wow, that really is horrible about your inlaws. But I’m glad they are o.k. I’ve got to tell you, from the pics you post of your husband, he really genuinely looks like a great dad. I can just tell. A rarity now a days. 🙂

  9. I hope your inlaws get better soon!

I wish it were 80 degrees here and we could be playing outside! It’s calling for snow here.

  10. Your in-laws are lucky to have such a strong family support system. I hope they’re both feeling well and fully healed sooner than later!

The boys are just so cute!!!! I love the picture of them hitched to the John Deere. CLASSIC!

P.S. Five egg hunts is insane. I tip my hat to you now because you’re already 5x the mom I plan to be!

  11. I wish you inlaws a speedy recovery!
