I can’t believe it has been 5 weeks already!  Well we decided to take the greens out that were looking so bad, and transplanted my Butternut squash I had in the house  in their place.  We also planted some more garlic and shallots. This is our first time with shallots so I am very excited about them.  I haven’t really used shallots before for lots of cooking so it will be fun to experiment with them.  I think I might have a lead on the infamous Sauerkraut recipe  apparently one of my Dad’s cousin’s makes it and it just might be the recipe from my great grandmother Mo-Mo, how cool would that be!  Especially since I am going to make and give a lot of it to my grandfather.
