I have to share my favorite Peach pie recipe’s and of course it involves the yummy cream cheese, mmmm. The crust of this pie is more like a sweet bread, and mixed with the peaches and cream cheese it is soooo good. I love this recipe. It’s so easy to make, but its very impressive.
Ingredients
1 package vanilla pudding not instant, 1 block of cream cheese, 3/4cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar,
1 egg, 3 T Butter, I large can of peaches, 1tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 cup milk and 1 tsp cinnamon
Start off by mixing together the dry ingredients
Then add the egg, milk and butter, mix well. It will look lumpy because of butter chunks.
Butter the pie pan- be generous. Butter is good
Pour in batter, and spoon on well drained peaches be sure to reserve some of the peach juice.
Next make the cream cheese filling, start off with 1 block of cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tablespoons of peach juice, blend wel
Then spoon on top of the peaches staying away from the edges of the pie
Mix together 1 T sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon and sprinkle on top of pie
Bake on 350 from 30-35 minutes, Sorry I don’t have a finished picture we were in a rush to go to a family party, and I forgot to take one.
Sweet Pea’s Cream Cheese Peach Pie
¾ C. Flour
1 t. baking powder
3-1/4 oz. Vanilla Pudding Mix (dry) NOT INSTANT
½ t. Salt
3 T. Butter
1 Egg
½ C. Milk
Combine all of the above; beat 2 minutes medium speed; pour into large greased pie plate; on top place 1 large can sliced peaches, well drained, reserve syrup
Mix together:
8 oz. Softened Cream Cheese
½ C. Sugar
3 T. Peach Juice
Beat 2 min at medium speed; spoon over peaches but not to edge.
Mix together:
1 T. Sugar
½ t. Cinnamon
Sprinkle over top of pie. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
