Sometimes you just need a cold, sweet treat! Why not make it one you don’t feel guilty about eating yourself and serving to your kids? This simple shake fits the bill, it has all the flavors of a full fat version of an Oreo shake, but without the fat and calories. This is so simple to blend up, and, really, your options are unlimited. You could make all sorts of versions of this shake. Try different cookies, puddings, and extracts. Have fun with it.
Let me show you just how simple it is.
Ingredients: 1 cup 1% milk; 2-1/2 reduced-fat Oreo cookies; 1 tablespoon Oreo pudding (dry mix); 1 teaspoon vanilla; 1-1/2 cups ice cubes; 1-2 tablespoons Reddi Whip Topping
Here I am using Oreo cookies and Oreo cream pudding, but you could easily use vanilla pudding, if you have it on hand.
In a blender add all the ingredients, except for the whipped topping.
If you have a cute 4 year old helper, all the better.
Use just 2 and 1/2 reduced fat oreo’s.
Add the ice and blend.
Then serve quickly, if it’s hot out they will start to melt quickly.
Top with some whipped topping and crumbled oreo cookie.
Enjoy!
