Monkey Bread

Monkey See, Monkey Do, Monkey Bread, Monkey You!!!  Monkey bread, is something I thought mostly everyone  has had a time or two, but when I posted a picture for it a few weeks ago, I had a couple requests for the recipe so I thought I would share my super easy, quick version of monkey bread.  Sometimes if I have a older banana I throw it in, and it almost tastes like Bananas foster and I love love love that.  But it would also be good with pears or strawberries or even nuts, or just plain!  I served this down at the Bay and my brother Bob loved it, I told him how easy it was and now he is making it for himself!  See even a Cowboy can do it!  This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled!

Ingredients: 1 can buttermilk biscuits, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 T cinnamon, 4 T butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, (optional) 1 ripe banana

In a gallon size ziplock bag, add your white sugar and cinnamon, shake it up till well mixed

Then take each biscuit and cut into 4 pieces

add to bag and shake until each side is well coated with the sugar cinnamon combo

Place the pieces into a pie plate, evenly spreading them out

Then melt butter and brown sugar in a small sauce pan

Chop up banana

add to sauce pan

cook until sugar and butter are well incorporated

Then pour onto of sugar coated biscuits

and bake at 350 for 30 minutes

Let cool for about 5 minutes, then set a plate on top and flip over

all of the sauce has gone to the bottom! YUM!

Serve with a fried egg! Or by its self, or whatever just serve!!!
