The Boys

I feel like a horrible neglectful mother I’ve forgotten 2 months in a row to up date my boys monthly progress.  So I decided to go ahead and combine 25 & 26 months together.

25 and 26 Months!!

At 25 & 26 months they love to do:

  • driving the gator, playing outside, riding anything that moves
  • They love playing trucks and tractors with their many many many toys
  • They really enjoy  going to the children reading hour at the library, play date and the museum.
  • Little H loves Hats, gloves and boots.

  • Little W loves to ride with Poppy on the 4-wheeler

*riding with poppy, they actually love it though you can’t tell from their faces it was really cold that day.

New words they say:

  • They can repeat almost any word, I say can also say I love you!  Like dangerous and motorcycle.
  • They can count to 5, and sing along with their abc’s (mostly)

Stuff they are so into:

  • Bicycle big wheels, lawn mowers, tools, chickens
  • Sesame Street and Barney
  • pretending to be animals, like tigers and snakes
  • playing while eating
  • Still love their paci’s and blankets.  We tried briefly to have them give them up but Little H cried so hard for so long he voice was hoarse for days. (that was fun)

Things they don’t like so much: (new I decided to add)

  • Keeping their pants on, still, though we have gone a few days and no accidents.
  • coming inside from playing outside
  • When they take toys from one another, of course this is a given, and a daily occurrence.

*Little H loves to “steer” but Little W is actually pushing the pedal.

24 Months!! 2 Years old

My Turkeys are 2, I just can’t believe it.  This year has just flown by.  Life with them is so enjoyable and they truly light up my day.  They are changing and learning so fast, soon they will be smarter than me, or they probably already are but just haven’t let me in on that fact yet.

At 24 months they love to do:

  • drive the gator, play outside, ride anything that moves
  • read
  • play in the tent, and play chase

*Also riding on daddy’s back

New words they say:

  • They are learning there manners and saying please and thank you.  But instead of saying Thank you, little H says Your Welcome, I think he’s a little confused
  • They are now asking for certain foods, like bananas, yogurt, cookies!

*the boys are in deep thought watching tv.

Stuff they are so into:

  • Bicycle big wheels, lawn mowers, tools
  • Sesame Street and Barney
  • Singing, and playing games

Things they don’t like so much: (new I decided to add)

  • Keeping their pants on, yes we are still having this issue, so onesies and sleepers are mommy’s best friend.
  • Veggies- they don’t want to eat their veggies lately, but I am not giving up we still offer them at every meal
  • coming inside from playing outside

——————————————————————————————————————————–

23 Months!!

I am updating on time, wow that must be a first. Well during the past month they boys are changing over night it seems, and getting too smart for mommy. I can’t keep anything from them, if I try to slip out of the room, or sneak a chip, they are on to me. Those little turkeys.
At 23 months they love to do:

  • go for a ride, on the lawn mower, truck, tractor, car, 4-wheeler, umm basically anything that moves
  • go to the library and play dates
  • color! and finally I might add, up until recently they just liked to chew on the colors

*Little H and his favorite past time of playing with the pumpkins and gourds

New words they say:

  • They seem to be saying new word everyday and will repeat anything I say, so mommy has to be careful
  • They are starting to put words together like, hey dude, daddy ride,
  • They also are telling me if they are hungry, or if their cup is empty

*the boys are in deep thought watching tv.

Stuff they are so into:

  • trucks, tractors
  • Sesame Street and Barney
  • Reading anything and everything, including mommy’s magazines

Little W hamming it up for the camera!

——————————————————————————————————————————–

22 Months!!

22 months and I am a couple weeks behind on updating.  Life with two 22 months old’s to say the least is not boring.  They keep me on the go constantly.  They love to stay busy and have activities.  So I stay busy just trying to find things for them to do, when all else fails we play outside a lot, thus they get dirty a lot!

At 22 months they love to do:

  • play outside
  • read books
  • climb on the kitchen table
  • go for a ride

New words they say:

  • They seem to be saying new word everyday
  • But we are working on saying names
  • elephant, monkey, fall, oh boy, please, thank you

Stuff they are so into:

  • playtime
  • pumpkins, they share my love
  • trucks, tractors
  • Elmo

——————————————————————————————————————————–

21 Months!!

So 21 months came and I almost forgot, yet again to update my guys page with all their new activities.  Well I am now a Stay at Home mom and spending almost every second of the day with my little fellows and truly loving it.  They each have all of their eye teeth poking through, and surprisingly they haven’t been fussy or anything.

At 21 months they love to do:

  • ask “what’s that” at everything, from the spot on the wall, to the truck down the street
  • play outside
  • looking at the chickens
  • color and painting
  • take a bath (they are constantly asking to take a bath)

New words they say:

  • There language really is exploding, they can repeat almost everything I say, banana, apple, truck, tractor, chicken, skeeter, outside, bath, these are a few but everyday it seems to be something new
  • Mommy has learned to not say a few key words unless I intend on doing them or all H*ll breaks loose,a few examples are outside, bath, and vitamin (they are the gummy kind and they love them)

Stuff they are so into:

  • reading
  • bath time
  • Da-gee, truck, boots, hats, cup, food anything that is Da-gee’s
  • using there spoons, forks and plates at dinner time

——————————————————————————————————————————–

20 Months!!

The boys are going constantly non stop.  They love life and love to have fun.  Little W leg healed and had his cast removed and then 10 days later he fell and broke the same leg “different spot” again, this time not as bad and no cast required.  So mommy is on super patrol to ensure no more accidents.  But he has been a little trooper through it all and no more than 3 days later up is up walking on it again.  Little H has been such a little funny guy lately, he is either super happy or super mad, and has added to his repertoire throwing fits, hitting and saying NO!!!  Fun stuff, but then he will turn around and be the sweetest little Stinker ever!

*Little H with his “not me” face

At 20 months they love to do:

  • using the potty
  • play hide and seek, peek a boo, tickle, etc
  • playing with daddy’s boots
  • play with Chloe and Cricket
  • Ride in daddy’s Truck

New words they say:

  • Mel-mo (elmo)
  • Everything’s Truck (car, garbage truck, train, etc)
  • NO (Little H’s favorite new word)
  • peese (please)

* Little W all wrapped up in his favorite blankies

Stuff they are so into:

  • reading
  • playing in the sprinkler, water
  • bath time
  • crawling on our bed, pretending to sleep

19 Months!!

19 months only the good lord knows what it holds for us.  Little W has now had his cast on for almost 3 weeks and decided that after 2 weeks he could walk again, and now nothing stops him now.  19 months holds for Little H lots of little tantrums, and throwing himself on the ground overly dramatic, I hate to laugh but its just too ridiculous sometimes.  Since Little W is in a cast and we have strict instructions not to get it wet or dirty we have been spending most of our time indoors, and it’s been hard on the little outdoorsy guys, but they are adjusting.  On July 8th Little W will get his cast removed and we can return to outside play with the sprinkler, yea!

What a fantastic idea! 16 months and a 9 word vocabulary is GREAT! Sounds like their right on track! I’m not surprised that “the corner” is in a bit of confusion (they’re still young). My ECE schooling taught us you’re never too young to learn a bit of self discipline! I use it for the twins I care for. They’re 3 now, and are well aquainted with the concept.LOL Anyway, but keep it up, they’ll grow into it!:-) Stay strong-LOL- they look like charmers!

Awwww, they are adorable! I love the pic of them looking at a book together! They seem to share a strong twin bond. My little twins (who are also boys) could care less about one another…it’s strange. They don’t seem like twins to me.

They are absolutely precious!! Enjoy this time with them as it goes by so fast! They remind me of my two boys. Are they identical? I am also an identical twin. They are so fortunate as they will always have each other in life!
