I’ve been so lazy about blogging this summer, there is just too much fun things to do.
Like why not make some cute chalkboard signs to hang in the kitchen. I found this idea on pinterest and couldn’t get it out of my head.
So I headed for the dollar for cheap platters and signs that I could easily paint. I found these in the party section and the painting in the section with photo frames.

Then I went to the hardware store for spray chalkboard paint!

And I found these two adorable little helpers too!

So the helpers and I spray painted all of the signs with at least 2 coats, front and back.

and let them dry really well.

Then DT drilled holes in them for the twine to go.

I did a little touch up paint, let it dry.

Put the twine through and hung them up, I see my bows need a little help.

I love the way they turned out.
It helps keep the boys organized and everyday I write what we are doing that day, day of the week and whats to eat!!
*ps: please forgive my handwriting, it’s never been a strong point of mine.

Sad thing is now I am searching all over my house for more things to chalkboard spray paint, I am addicted!

I saw an idea on pinterest to paint the backyard fence or anything in the backyard with chalkboard paint, that way the chalk mess stays outside. Genius!

We have our fridge done with dry erase paint. The kids love it and I use it too. I write my shopping lists on there (perfect place for it right on the fridge) and I write out my daily chores and cross them off as I go and the kids chores for them.

Mod Podge has that same addictive quality
I did my first project the other day and found myself looking around for what else I could do! Who knows what damage I would do with chalkboard paint!
