I am I am totally that kind of mother that thinks her babies will be little forever, and that with every passing day they aren’t growing or changing and learning.
So when their first day of preschool (prek-3) came, needless to say, I didn’t handle it the best. This is just the first step of them eventually leaving the nest, from under my wings and branching out on their own (don’t you love all those bird euphemisms). I can totally see it, in just a few shorts months they will be graduating from High School and going off to college out of state, and they won’t even text me back.
Ahem, anyway, enough about me.
The boys on the other hand were so very excited!
If you’re a friend on facebook, you may have already seen these pictures.
Look at Little W, a very proud preschooler.
Little H was so excited he could barely stand still to take a picture.
Much less take a decent picture.
I even asked them to turn around so I could get a picture of them with their back packs, but they look more like I am asking them to spread for a police search!
When it was time to go to school, they eagerly walked ahead, they weren’t nervous or shy at all.
It’s like they knew what to do. They went straight to hang up their backpacks.
And sign in with their name cards.
Then I silently snuck out and they never even noticed….. Thank goodness!!
