Menu Plan Monday

August 29, 2011

I’ve been cooking up a storm lately with recipes for my upcoming e-cookbook, and regular meals as well.  I am trying lots of new recipes this week, and one old fave, for a quick snack or breakfast, granola bars.
This weekend is DT’s birthday and I am sure I will be making his favorite cake, strawberry.
How do you celebrate your hubbies birthday?  Anything special?
Last  week we enjoyed:Breakfast Pizza

Huevos Rancheros

Bubble Enchiladas (picture and recipe courtesy of Six Sister’s Stuff)

Frito Crusted Pork Chops (picture and recipe courtesy of Inspired by eRecipe Cards)

Cajun Chicken Pasta

 Almond Joy Cake

This week we have planned:

Breakfasts:

Cereal with fresh fruit

Scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and fresh fruit

Buttermilk Pancakes (recipe and photo Courtesy of Finding Joy in my Kitchen)

Dinner:

Cheesy Chicken and Veggie Bake (recipe and photo courtesy of Mommy Idea book)

Taco Skillet (recipe and picture courtesy of Scattered thoughts of a crafty Mom)

Taco Salad in tortilla bowl, using Taco Skillet meat.

Snacks, desserts, drinks, other:

Granola Bars

Birthday Cake for DT 35th.  Not sure what cake he is requesting  just yet.  Here are a few of his past faves: Strawberry Cake, Upside down German Chocolate.

Enjoy the pancakes — we use the same batter and make waffles at the same time; I’m pretty sure they’ve become a favorite of ours for that reason :) two-for-one!
