The Anatomy of a hissy fit.

January 27, 2010

It was a peaceful afternoon over the weekend and the boys were playing and I like usual was just randomly snapping pictures, when unbeknown-st to me (or as to why) a major hissy fit unfolded right before my very camera lens.

Here Little W (back) and Little H were casually sitting in the back of their gator, Little H had just crawled over from the front and his leg was uncomfortably “stuck” on top of the seat.  If you notice he is holding a hat and Little W appears to be helping him remove his stuck leg.

Well next thing I know an ear piercing squeal ensues.

And in typical dramatic fashion, he is draped over/under the seat of the gator, hiding.

sure enough he gets his head stuck and that only adds to the squeals.

Then of course big alligator tears

and if that wasn’t good enough a big bite on the steering wheel should really help get the frustration out.

then more dramatic draping over the gator

and the saddest look ever.

*note: did this make me stop taking pictures and go comfort him?  Ha ha ha, I think not!

and what’s a hissy fit with out a little ground flopping?

That always does the trick.

But then he gets up, brushes himself off

wipes his nose

and calmly walks away.

Meanwhile Little W resumes riding the gator, and guess what?  He has the hat!

So that’s what started the hissy fit in the first place?

*note: I realize last week’s wordless wednesday also featured the boys and the gator.  I promise they do more than just play with it.*

Amazing isn’t it? The temper tantrums that seem to come out of no where? And I only have one, who is 17 month’s old, to handle. I’m not so sure about two…

Priceless time frame, nonetheless….

Happy WW!

I love the biting of the gator. The hissy fit is great. I love the fact that you are taking pics the whole time – wonder if that irritated him! LOL

@Cassie, Hi Cassie, I think my Mom got them last year at Walmart, so I am not sure if you can still find them or not.
