Gingerbread Demolition

January 13, 2010

You might recall a few weeks ago I made a gingerbread house from scratch, here is the post and picture in case you missed it.

Well I decided as I was taking down all my Christmas decorations that it was time to also deconstruct the Gingerbread house.

I happen to have 2 handy demolish guys on call at all times.  So they were up for the challenge, slightly hungry and ready to work.

Yes in case your wondering I am letting my 2- 2 year olds eat as much candy and gingerbread as they want and yes its at least 3 weeks old.  Please don’t judge me.

Oh you didn’t?  Never mind…

On to the demolition!

They got to work on the trees and gingerbread men and even shared a little.

They tried a little of this and that and somehow this half chewed chocolate rock landed a bit to close to me, and it took almost everything I had to not eat it.  Dang this sugar and gluten free diet!!!!

Little H was determined to get a candy cane, but let me tell you that frosting turned into some major glue in a few weeks time.

The crew had to pull out the hammers

I must admit I got this going after a few hard whacks.  I am proud of my tough “well built” construction.

Slowly by surely the roof is coming off

then the wall, I just love how the 2 man teamed worked together on that one.

and she still stands!!

it was fun and messy!

and sugar highs soon kicked in.

and then daddy came home to inspect the mess demolition.  He approved of a job well done!

I love it! I can tell that they had a wonderful time tearing it apart. I laughed out loud when they got out the hammers. :)
