Bandito Dogs

September 29, 2009

For today’s post I am sharing the healthiest recipe every cooked and shared on my blog (insert sarcasm).  I am sure my arteries will be forever clogged.  But I will be forever be happy after eating this most delicious masterpiece.  Let me introduce the Bandito Dogs, not to be confused with chili hot dogs, because these are much better. They contain Velveeta!!  And you know Velveeta makes everything better.

Let me show you how to make these and your husband and children will be forever grateful.

Ingredients: 2 cans chili, 8 oz Velveeta cheese, 1 lb hot dogs, 1 can green chilies (I didn’t have any so I subbed them for several banana peppers)

Start by adding your chopped banana peppers or can of green chilies to a crock pot

then your 2 cans of chili, I just love how appetizing canned chili looks

then 8 oz of cubed velvetta

Then gently mix in your hot dogs

and cook on low for 4 hours

Serve with your favorite toppings, and everyone will love you!

8 ounces cubed Velveeta cheese
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies, drained & optional

Combine the chili, Velveeta, and green chilies in a slow cooker. Gently mix in hot dogs. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.

When you can’t stand it one. more. minute, it’s time to dig in. Serve hot dogs in buns. Pile on some and your toppings of choice.

Oh my goodness!!! My family will love this. I’m going to make this Sunday. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week. But since you add hot peppers doesn’t that “burn” away all the bad stuff? *wink wink* Works for me…lol.

We love chili dogs. And Hormel chili is so good, especially with Velveeta cheese. Your post is making me hungry!

Holy cow, my arteries are clogging right now but they do look sinfully good. I would just want to eat two and then go to bed afterwards.
