Today marks my 1 year blogiversary. I can hardly believe it! In some ways it seems like I have been blogging for years and in others I feel like I am still a newbie. So in celebration of this momentous occasion (ha ha!) here are a few random blog tidbits about me.
- I actually started this blog back in Nov 2006, them promptly forgot about it until August 6, 2008 and decided I would really join the blogosphere!
- My first real comment readers were family and friends and I love and still love receiving their comments.
- I have written 510 posts (not counting this one). Can someone say “Get off the Computer!”
- Since starting my blog I have encouraged a few family and friends to start their own blogs and hoping more start, Gina, Kaylynn, Haley and Brooke
- I have never received a nasty comment! Amazing isn’t it, nah not really I have the best readers.
- I have received 5,112 sweet, intelligent and thoughtful comments. See aren’t my readers the best!
- There’s a tie for my most popular blog posts between Homemade Salsa and Sticky Chicken in the Crock-pot
- One of the most popular search engine searches on my blog are How well do you know your spouse, which apparently alot of people are interested in, 901 to be exact.
- Since starting this blog I have been introduced to an entire new vocabulary; twitter, blog, stumble, digg, link, post, delicious, Mr. Linky, MCKlinky, memes, I could go on and on.
- I really, really, really appreciate my readers. I know I don’t respond to every comment (I try!) but I do read every one. I have “met” so many other wonderful bloggers and nonbloggers this year and have learned so much from this experience. I wouldn’t blog if it wasn’t so much fun, so thanks for for a great first year!! Here’s to many more!!!

When I was looking through your pictures, the picture of the Strawberry layercake made me miss living in Iowa again because here in Germany we don’t have those kind of yummy cakes. We will have to bring some cake mixes back with us in October =)
How’s potty training going? I bought a 2nd potty today hopefully I will have a little more success.

Congratulations! I too love the barrel of monkeys picture. I had this page opened last night, and my husband leaned over and pointed at your sonogram photo and said “That’s an interesting combination of exciting and shocking.” Is that his way of telling me “yes twins” or “no twins”? Like i have much of a say in that boat, dear. Too funny.
