After all the craziness with Little W breaking his leg, DT out of state working, and packing for our mini vacation. I was very happy to arrive at the Casa Aqua (funny name because it’s yellow) a mere 45 minute drive from our house. We had a weekend chocked full of eating, reading, relaxing, playing on the beach, in the kiddie pool, etc. Most of those plans were nixed due to little W broken leg and fear of getting his cast wet or dirty. But we had a good time none the less, and it was great spending it with the family.
Shortly after arrival I laid the boys down for a nap and strolled around snapping some pictures of the scenery.
The sky was beautiful and I was enjoying the warm Texas heat and sun.
The house looks yellow to me right? Still wondering why its called Casa Aqua, Mom do you know?
It’s funny the murky water of Carancahua Bay (named for the Karankawa Indians- pronounced the same) and the blue sky just look so beautiful paired up.
Right next to the pier was our own small little beach, full of shells.
A few steps farther down the shore line was the un touched beach bulk heads
Of course I had to put my feet in the water
And my Niece Sam joined me in search of sea shells
We found some pretty shells and lots of rocks that she loved throwing back into the water
Casa Aqua also displays a beach scene mural on the living room wall. This is one thing I love about bay houses, they can be funky, have names, and crazy wall colors, and murals. Seriously I just love that. How fun would it be to decorate a bay house.
They boys had a fairly good time considering how new Little W injury is.
I had to take this picture, because last year we took a similar picture when they were only 6 months old.
We took a golf cart ride around Port Alto with the boys. Port Alto is small with about 4-5 streets, and mostly bay front houses. So its nice to drive around and see who’s down, being that it is so close to our home town, lots of people we know owns homes down here, so its like a super small town where everyone knows everyone.

he also enjoyed a cold one after a long hot day, just kidding!!
Little W enjoyed picking wild flowers for mommy and mostly being held, he’s still struggling with his ouchie.
We had a good time but with 2 little ones it sure can be tiring. Much less Little W not feeling so good, and was pretty fussy, frustrated most of the weekend.
Is it possible to have a vacation from your vacation?
So you might assume that when we got home on Monday we would have relaxed, but no this is what we had to do instead pick the garden, does that sound like complaining to you?
All of this from 3 days! Its madness I tell you madness!!

I’m so jealous of your garden bounty. In Pennsylvania, our plants are just thinking about getting fruits.

I’m very sorry to see that one of the little ones is hurt. I hope he feels better soon. But your weekend getaway looked like fun and your garden looks as plentiful as my father’s (and he’s a professional landscaper who grew up working the land in Italy). Way to go!

Looks like yall had a fun vacation at the beach and I can’t get over how gorgeous those vegetables look. I saw the post below is for some kind of zucchini bread or brownies so I might have to take a peak to see what you made and how it turned out.
