Update on Little W

June 12, 2009

We had our appointment with the pediatric orthopedist and in record time little W was casted with a below the knee walking cast.  The pedi orth said that this is a very common break in toddlers, and that made us all feel better.  It’s hard to believe my 18 month old has a broken leg.

He still pretty sensitive with his leg, but I think he will be walking on it in no time flat.  He did really well all day yesterday with just a tad bit of clingy/neediness (which I didn’t mind since I don’t seem to get enough cuddles lately).

So with out further ado, here’s my little tough guy!

And a picture with bubba!

ps. I won’t be around for the next few days, we are leaving for a trip down to the bay and will be back sometime Monday.  Hope every one has a great weekend.

So sweet, still smiling even with his little cast on!
My husbands little brother broke his leg in the same spot when he was about that age. I remember him learning to walk and dragging his cast around while he crawled on all three’s…..
Hope your baby has a speedy recovery!

Well I have a feeling this may be the 1st of many mishaps although just a stitch would be better. No more broken bones.

I did break my arm 3 x before I was 10. Hopefully he is not as accident prone as I was. You all seem to handle everthing so well. I think that is the Rider trait I did not get. Thinking of you all.

Awww..the poor little cutie! Glad he’s going to be ok, though. He and I should hang out, since I’m still recovering from a total knee reconstruction doing rehab *ow*.
