Remodel week 3

January 30, 2009

Amazingly enough not a single thing has been done since last week.  Except for the fact that I rushed to buy paint that was absolutely going to be used last Friday, and its  still sitting there exactly where I put it.  See here for last week, and what we started with

See Janet I told you I would come up with something, ha ha!

If you look closely you can see my notes on paint colors.  I picked out a pretty color called Meditative by Sherwin Williams for the boys room its a really warm blue color. In the hall and bthroom we are using paint we had leftover from when we painted a few year back its called Ivoire you can see it on the halls pictures.  I really want to paint the bathroom a green color but I want to wait till all the tile, and counter tops are installed to see how it would look all together.  So for now we wait………….

Oh my gosh, I don’t know how you have done it for 3 weeks. I would be pulling my hair out. I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Ha! I know the feeling! I went out last weekend and bought everything I need to start a blanket-making project thinking that I would be halfway done by now. Yeah… it’s still sitting in the bag. :(

Those projects are notorious for starting and stopping.

How frustrating! I hope things get moving soon.

Love your paint colours!

This is how all remodel projects in my house go. Things just sit around forever and it is so frustrating.

Bless your hearts…I know, these projects are not overnight! Praying you can get them done soon, it’s hard to try to do large overhaul projects while working full time jobs. Hoping it all works out…it sounds like it will be lovely when you’re done! ~CC

Great! And it doesn’t matter how long you keep it there because you don’t have to dust it or clean it. Just keep walking over it and around it and taking pictures of it.

Happy F x 4

Can’t wait to see your finished product. I know how hard it can be to complete a remodel project…. a few yrs ago, we built in the basement -2 bedrooms, they are not completely finished…. no molding, no sheetrock on the outside of the rooms, just studs and insulation! the kids’ wall have somedrawings, half painted on the walls…. oh someday we’ll finish!!
Good luck

I hope you show off the finished product. I love before and after pictures to give me ideas for remodelling – just don’t tell my husband I’m looking!

Thanks ladies for all the support, unfortunately the waiting is not because of us, we are waiting to get our bathroom tile in and also on the contractors. Luckily we are not doing this project ourselves, we are still at my parents house, so its hard not seeing any progress done in a whole week.

We bought our house a year and a half ago and it is in a constant state of remodeling. It probably will be for a long time, until we get it how we want it and all of the problems are fixed. Be sure to show pictures when you’re done!
