Well we were very lucky hurricane Ike missed us but instead hit Galveston straight on and sat on Houston for several hours creating lots of damage, debris and major power outages. Check out this major highway.
We had 30-40 mile an hour wind gusts and some trees down and lots of tree litter but nothing major. My parents house had power outage because a tree knocked out a security light and it caught on fire and blew their transformer other than that we were very lucky.
Please say a prayer for everyone affected by the storm.
